BDS @ Home

Bolton dementia support at home (BDS@home) is a service designed to rekindle former interest, activities and hobbies with the person living with dementia (PLWD).

We deliver a series of meaningful, home-based, therapeutic activities, we work with the PLWD and the people who care for them to ensure the activities are tailored to the individual, with consideration of abilities and preferences. Session are delivered each week over a period of 9 weeks

The aim is that these activities will engage and involve the PLWD, encouraging them to develop new skills and/or expand on their interests, this can lead to a more confidence and independence as they continue with activities once the sessions/programme ends.
